“It [shouldn't be] so much about ‘the mainstream,’ ‘the Christian,’ whatever. I feel like music is music,” Orrico said recently….[Full Story...]

  1. main reason why most christian lable singers go to r&b and hip hop is because they want to make money though they have there respected to the religion they also want to make money hopefully for non selfish reasons but u get the point though she has the r&b songs she can also have her christan songs on the cd and still work with both some say music is music but some make diffrent impacts on diffrent people express diffrent emosions then others thats what music worth while to listen to and make diffrent sides to it its not all the same but i guess were all intiled to are own opion.

  2. I think it’s cool that someone who is christian dares to show the kind of struggles she faces in everyday’s life. After all Christian life is not without its own challenges.

  3. i think stacie orrico is as talented as she is beautiful, her music is very soothing and displays a good message, i only wish i could thank her myself.. btw im 16 years old from chicago

  4. Maybe it’s just me, but it seems bizarre how far she goes out of her way to NOT be known as a Christian. The only time she mentions God or anything remotely religious is when she does some quickie interview for a Christian site.

  5. And that is as it should be. Being a Christian doesn’t require TALKing about God all the time. You should keep your mouth shut and begin to actually DO the life, which is what actually sets a person apart in a positive way. Talking just drives others away.

  6. “Do” the life? What, get rich and utter inane platitudes about bad boyfriends? Wow, Stacie is just like Jesus!

  7. You are right. Being a Christian doesn’t mean you need to talk about God all the time, but Stacie refuses to talk about him at all. Whatever. If she doesn’t want the world to know she’s a Christian, that’s fine. Whatever. But you guys need to stop acting like she’d doing some covert religious technique. She’s gone from bold Christian musician, to just another sexy teen singer.

  8. Do you ever notice how much crossover Christian artists try to distance themselves from Christ and Christ related music?

“Oh, no, it’s about the music, not that Jesus dude.”

  9. I would like to ask Stacie, do u know one boy, his name is Duane? and how long do u know him?

  10. Stacie Orrico is just another typical Christian teenager, she dresses like non-Christians like most Christians do, and her music really doesn’t have to do with Christ, it has to do with good morals. Whether she has “crossed over” or not doesn’t really matter, the person she is is no role model i would want girls looking up to.

  11. SHE IS AN AWESOME CHRISTIAN! DRESSING WRONG IS HER FAULT BUT PEOPLE MAKE MISTAKES! SHE SINGS ABOUT GOOD MORALS AND GOD! MORALS ARE VERYYYY IMPORTANT FOR CHRISTIANS! SHE IS CROSSING OVER SO THAT NON-CHRISTIANS WILL LIKE HER MUSIC AND LISTEN TO HER CHRISTIAN MUSIC! SHE IS AWESOME AND I JUST WISH THAT PEOPLE WOULDN’T CRITICIZE HER FOR BEING A HUMAN. THAT MEANS MAKING MISTAKES! SHE IS AWESOME!

  12. I totally agree with what Natalie said!

It is true that people make mistakes, not even one is perfect but there should be a difference between believers and non-believers, as it is said in the bible. I do not mean to critize her, she is just another “typical christian teenager”, this is just my opinion.

  13. If she truely feels like “music is music” why doesn’t she renounce the whole nashville/Christian set and just do mainstream stuff. The same goes for the other “crossover” artists out there; either be a Christian singer or don’t be, but stop talking about it.

Another thing: this is the same gal who took Britney to task for her wardrobe? My gosh, people–I hate to throw the term hypocrite about, but just look at some recent pictures of the girl. Ach. But hey, what do any of us know, right?

  14. I really think that the messages in her music are just feelings, they don’t teach anything. I think, us as Christian need to be carefull with what we listen and what we say. You can talk about problems or feelings, trhough music, but you shoul also tell the solution to that, which is Jesus, which is coming to Christ, which is recognizing His death and Resurreccion…
Let’s support people that are honestly impacting the World and not pleasing it. Eather you serve God or the World, but you cannot serve the two of them.
I just pray that she will understand that…May God lead her to the right path…

  15. Well, she’s had three years to do something different. Who knows. But she really should just become a pop singer and leave the christian teasing behind.

  16. Ðа Ñж, ÑÑо конеÑно же нелегко. :)
