Christian night spots stressing fun, not flesh

The Miami Herald reported on some Christian nightclubs starting in the Miami area.
Sheldon Bland hopes to create a Christian nightclub where believers can party with purity—without the boozy come-ons and hip-grinding moves of mainstream spots.
That means no cigarettes, racy song lyrics or flesh-forward fashion.
Bland, an insurance agent, is spending $7,000 of his own money to help launch Club Mighty in Hallandale Beach next month. The club will join a handful of other quasi-underground clubs—actually regularly scheduled parties in rented spaces—catering to the young and faithful in South Florida and around the country.
The trend has grown over the past decade as sales of Christian music have exploded. The nightclubs are springing up as an alternative to the typical alcohol-drenched venues, said William D. Romanowski, professor of communication at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich., and author of Eyes Wide Open, Looking for God in Popular Culture.

i’m only a sophomore in college, and as my childish aspirations have dwindled down to ashes, this one idea of a Christian night club shot out beyond them a year ago…. i know God can do all things, but i’m no business major, and i’ve been babied my whole life, so i have no idea about how it all works…. any prayer or words of advice would be so greatly appreciated… thank you

I can’t say that I’m surprised, God is just awsome like that. My husband and I are looking to re-locate to FL. Not sure of what part as of now. It would be nice to speak with those in that area concerning collaborating to get a Christian Club and Christian Hip-Hop label started there. We have experience in this area. We hosted “The Kingdom Spot” in Baltimore for several months and have done a host of “Kingdom events”, which are an alternative for night-life entertainment. We have hign standards as it pertains to exposing events like this to believers and un-believers alike. HI! Blessings for you all. I’m a young professional and a christian business leader man from Costa Rica, and I’m glad to see that GOD is giving the same idea that he had gave me some time ago, to many other brothers and sisters around the world.
I Believe that we are living in the final days, and that JESUS is comming back soon, and I also belive that this is a crucial time when we have to fight for establishing the Kingdom of Heaven here on Earth. We can not allowed SATAN to take advantage any more of the entertainment and music industry for establishing his kingdom of darkness among the youth.

Here in Costa Rica (Central America) I have found the same need, a christian place where young people can go and have a nice and clean time together for listening to great music and first at all worshiping GOD.
We have to do this kind of business because everything on Earth as it is in Heaven belongs to the LORD, SATAN has just KIDNAPPED the entertainment and music industry, and therefore it is our responsability to go there and take back what belongs to our LORD.
People who goes to the world’s night clubs and entertainment centers have been KIDNAPPED too, so do what the Lord has putting in your hearts immediately and do not hesitate because of christian religious people who can say that this kind of projects are not spiritually correct.
BUT please notice that this projects MUST BE DONE IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, and now I speak as a prophet of the LORD. So, if someone of you develop this busines you should always remember that we are doing this because the world needs to know about JESUS, and also because HE should be whorshiped forever.
