‘Trust God’ License Plates Proposed In Florida

An interesting proposal in Florida, but if passed the ACLU will push for plates with negative comments about God, i.e. “God sucks”, “God is dead”, “No God”
STUART, Fla.—A Florida woman wants the state Legislature to approve a “Trust God” license plate, with the profits to be used to support Christian radio stations and charities.
Suzanne Hilton said, “We are besieged with so much negative media. It would be nice to get a positive message out.”
She needs drivers’ license data from 15,000 Florida motorists willing to purchase the license plates before the petition can go to the Legislature.
But an attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union said if “Trust God” is allowed on license plates, the Legislature also would have to allow messages like “God Is Dead.”
