(AgapePress) - A Christian layman with a heart for missions recently returned from a mission of his own to one of the most remote and desolate places on Earth. His assignment: deliver two Tibetan language Bibles to members of the underground Church in that country.
“George” cannot reveal his real name because he plans to return to Tibet in the future and does not want to jeopardize his next mission. The American factory worker says he felt called to missionary work after he visited China in 2000.
“I just began to seek the Lord and ask what direction would He have me to go. As it wound up, a door opened to Tibet and I was able to deliver Bibles to the underground Church,” he says.
George says he faced expulsion or possibly even arrest had authorities discovered the Bibles in his luggage at the airport. At one point, he says God clearly intervened at the airport in Tibet, when a baggage checker let him through security just as police started walking toward him.
As the police approached, George says he thought “Well, maybe this is it.” But when the checker told him he could go, he picked up his bags and went on through the checkpoint.
“That was a frightening moment, but God protected me. He delivered us, and we put the Bibles into the hands that the Lord intended,” he says.

I read with holy envy of the great work of “George” and his couragous missionary work to smuggle bibles into Tibet. Now I am on my way to Hong Kong and China via the USA in the New Year with similar missionary intentions. Unfortunately my Bibles are all English. Can your kind readers tell me where I could obtain Bibles in Mandarin, Tibeto-Burman and Arabic language.
This is Karma Sonam Thargye. I am Tibetan. Tibet is a country, which was occupied by Chinese in 1959. So, my parents escaped from Tibet to India. We left everything at there and we were very poor. But when I was 3 years old, my father was died because we couldn’t support him for his medical needs. Since then, I was grown up in the hostel. When I was 15 I was lost in Drugs and alcohol. And I was lost in that for 12 years. Now, I am 30 years old. I had been searching for truth for 7 years. I did many meditation.(Buddhism) As I born in Buddhist family. Even I used to stay with Hindu Guru. But I couldn’t find the answer. But When I was in Israel I found the Bible and I found my answer. John 14:6 is my answer. And I was satisfied with that. And I baptize with water and Holy Spirit. But my mother and sister kicked me out from my house and burnt my bible and all my Christian books and my college certificate. So, I slept in the street for 2 months. And I tried to suicide for three times and I was saved all the times. But one day I really heard a voice clearly when I was sleeping. It says,” Do not worry and I will take care of you”. I really don’t know where these words come from. I really need yours help. Please contact me on this E-mail Id…. karmala74@yahoo.com I did one year bible course in Israel and a month desicipleship training in India. Now, I am trying to help drugs addicted and alchoholic in the street or organizing seminar. I can’t do it alone. I need your support and prayer. I found your E-mail address from Internet but I don’t know where you are now. I am sure it is not by an accident and it’s His plan. I am working these days but I want to do full time ministry to God. Specially for the lost people. God gave me a vision but I need christian brother and sister support. Please response my mail as soon as possible.
With love in Jesus

I don’t know who to talk to get in touch with about this so I thought I would just put it out there for someone to see. I feel I have been called to spread God’s Word through distributing Bibles to persecuted regions much like “George” is doing. If someone could tell me who to contact about doing this or at least refer an organization that you can do this through that would be great.
Thanks so much!
