Christmas CD Banned For Mentioning Jesus
Once again in a effort to not offend non-Christians, another item that relates Jesus Christ to the celebration of Christmas is banned, restricted, or censored. Whichever term suits you best. This time the setting is in Scotland, but the motivation is the same, “political correctness gone mad, as one Muslim leader describes it.
bq.. _ )—The Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh, Scotland has banned the distribution of a charity Christmas CD because it mentions Jesus and might offend non-Christians._
_”We could not just hand out the CD,” a hospital spokeswoman told the Scotsman newspaper. “If it went to every child it could cause offense to those who are not Christian.”_
p. Christian and non-Christian religious leaders disparagingly critical of the ban could see no purposeful end.
bq.. Several religious leaders ridiculed the ban, including at least one prominent Muslim leader in Scotland.
_”If somebody doesn’t want to listen to this, they don’t have to. This is political correctness gone mad,” Bashir Maan told the Scotsman. “It is going too far and it is going to be counterproductive._
