In The Faith is being spammed by the Democratic Underground

In The Faith is being spammed by the Democratic Underground Forums.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the one of the fine folks at Democratic Underground has staged a Top Ten Search assault against In The Faith – A Chronicle of the Christian Faith.

What??? Yep. The user Dob Bole would like to see george w bush satan in the top ten search results. Although I do not know what good it will do for the Democratic Underground’s cause if satan is linked to President George W. Bush; I did think that the plan was worth mentioning to a few thousand readers.

The participants have had a little trouble getting the attack organized, apparently some of the members did not adhere to the strict all-lower-case rule.

Once again the truth is shown to be stranger than fiction.

UPDATE: At some point, I’m going to delete said queries from the database, I just find it interesting to see an organized attack. Not looking into banning IPs at this point.

UPDATE: THE Dean Peters from Heal Your Church Website paid a visit to this post (Yeah… that’s really cool..) and offered helping hand to prevent all manner of weblog spam. Never one to pass-up a good tip, Heal Your Church Website has an excellent article on the subject—Dealing with Comment Spam />

Search list junk from other groups/individuals in recent weeks:
“mark lowry homosexual”—Not to my knowledge
“can i see nude pictures of kirk talley”—Simple analysis shows that this is not a sex/porn site.
“mark lowry gay”—See above
“John F. Kerry Traitor”—Well, maybe? Don’t know. Will probably win the Nomination.
“Mel Gibson email address”—After all these queries, I still don’t have it
“Lewinsky”—Monica, you mean? Don’t have anything to report
“stacie orrico nude”—See simple analysis above

  1. Hmmm. I was just looking at your “top searches” and “top comments.”

What does it say about any political campaign when they resort to defacing someone’s blog?

If you’ve got the IP addresses of the big offenders, I can show you how to modify your .htaccess file to block them.

  2. I have to say that this almost made me laugh. It did! Kind of funny, don’t you think? I hope it doesn’t mess up your search strings, but ya…

I applaud your sense of humor. Should we make a joke out of it? I dunno…but I have a pretty light-hearted approach to most things. Haha!

  3. Finally someone that will take a stand for God’s word, and Christians, Mel Gibson.

  4. I think that Mell Gibsons is a man willing to die to self in order to give Jesus the glory He deserves. Way to go Mell!!!!

I was also thinking that it is very easy to see how “a dark force” is trying to hurt him and attack him, but does any one else see how God is turning that plan into drawing more people to this movie and to Christ?

Jesus You are truly an awesome Lord!!!!

Mell, can’t wait to visit with you in heaven some day, Way to go brother!

    Danika

  5. Praise God for Mel Gibson being a willing tool to do God’s work in the material, and worldly atmosphere of Hollywood, he has real courage.

It is about time there was a movie worth going to see amongst all the trash. Jesus is perfect man, perfect God, and the eternal, immaculate, constant good spirit.

  6. I just want to comment on Kurt Talley and Mark Lowry. I haven’t heard anything about Mark, but the things that have been said about Kurt has been just awful. If he has made a mistake, and we all have, he knows it. He himself will answer to God for what he has done. God can forgive him and we should be able to forgive him as well. After all, we are suppose to be living a Christ like example. If Jesus Christ is forgiving then we should be as well. Jesus was crusified for being the perfect man, we are not perfect. Let him without sin cast the first stone. Kurt, my prayers are with you. You have a God given talent please don’t let Satan destroy what God has given you.

  7. We need more people like Mel. I too agree that satan thinks that by making it hard on Mel and the others involved with making the movie. But a few words to those involved with giving the movie a hard time, when God comes for his children you are going to realize why it was so important that this message of passion, hope, and faith was told to all people. When you let God in and really believe and place your faith in Him there is now way that God’s plan will or can be knocked down. I stand behind all of you all involved in sending this message to a world in need of Christ. So much is happening because so many people have went astray and can’t find their way back because satan is in the back telling them they can’t go back, but it is a lie. God forgives us all no matter what you did He loves you and you know you need Him. Don’t let it be too late because Heaven is the place for you with eternal life. Courage to stand up for what is right against all who love the bad, is more than what Mel Gibson and the other cast members have. They have the passion that we all need and should have for Jesus Christ. Lakeview Baptist Church is behind you all the way to eternity in Heaven. God bless you and we will keep the whole cast in prayer.

  8. Dear Mr. Mel Gibson:

I haven’t seen this precious movie. But I don’t understand how any of us can negate our responsibility to Jesus being crucified for our sins? what is wrong with us anyway? We cannot live in denial. The best we can hope for is for GOD to make better human beings of us and for us to accept the fact that Jesus took our sins onto himself; therefore he died for us. That the movie is too violent, you only personified what it was like back in those days. Congratulations Mel Gibson and my husband will take me to view this film because I believe that all of us need to see it. There are no coincidences in life none. God bless you Mel and your family and the filming crew. So many of us have turned away from GOD for reasons that only we can answer. The charges of this film fuming anti-semetic feelings is a lie. We are all guilty of Jesus dying on the cross for us period.

  9. Mel,

I saw the Passion, it was a great movie. I felt the pain and suffering Jesus went through, you did a outstanding job. I support you and this movie, I think everyone should see this movie, because it relates to what is going on in the world today, Anger, hate, murder, terrorism, If people in this world would put aside there differences and lighten up about what is offencive, or what offens someone, or this is racist, its all blown way out of control, You took the bible and made it into a movie, and peole are up and arms about it, its history, you didnt make it up. Bottom line, I really liked the movie and I commend you on a job well done.

  10. This is for everyone, I suppose. If perhaps this is read by Mr. Gibson, then I will be glad. First of all, I support the film, and not on just emotional grounds (yes, I am a Christian). I support it in it’s historical accuracy, and am continuing to try to understand the alligations of certain jewish members of our community. the film is anything BUT anti-jew. throughout the entire film you see the grusome brutality and the essence of pure evil inside the romans. yes, you see jews who wanted christ to die. they were upset. this really did happen. they wanted out from under politcal persecution, and many rejected jesus as the messiah, the one who was to rescue the jews from their plight. jesus is the messiah, and he rescued us all from our plight, but it was not just an era plight, social plight, it was the eternal plight-that fact is we are human and so unable to break free from sin without, well, rescue. there were jews, obviously, who loved jesus and believed him to be messiah. they were his family, friends, passer-bys who he impacted one-on-one, and let’s not forget that jesus himself was a jew. let’s also take a look at the crowd. romans and jews wanting to kill christromans and jews wanting christ to not be killed. but the film shows love, expresses christ’s heart to ‘forgive our enemies’, and points his death directly to himself…that HE was CHOOSING to lay down his life. HE was laying his life down…no one took it. He explains to pilot that pilot is not the one responsible, that yes judas was the betrayer, but also we can hear christ’s heart say ‘this is the plan, i choose this, i give my life, take me so that my blood can be the last to be spilled, that animal sacrifices won’t be the link between creation and god any longer, that i can be in my creations form, understand his plight, feel his pain, feel what flesh feels like, and to resurrect with a spiritual body, but one transformed and one to always be able to identify with his creation.’ he felt all we have felt, he knows, he was poor, he was hurt, he was rejected…we have a King, but also a best friend who can cry with us because he understands the frailty of mankind and the intense pain (pain that breeds beauty) of the human life. it hurts to watch the film. i was in the film The Resurrection by Impact Productions. never made it beyond churches, but every time we would do a scene, i felt there, i felt so close to him, and all i remember was that there was nothing i could do to take his suffering from him. that hurt so badly. in one instance, as i was the woman who brings the drink to jesus as he is bearing the cross, that the acting went beyond acting to real extreme emotion. i was torn away from christ, weeping because i wanted to help him. looking at the actor i saw what christ might have portrayed. that it was ‘okay’...that i did not need to save him-help him-that it was okay that i could not. this scene rendered me with bruises and cuts on my face, a broken right ankle, and bloody feet. yeah, the soldiers threw me back into the crowd and i was trampled. once we got to the place where christ died, i didn’t need to act anymore…i was there…it was real…and i cried until my guts no longer were in me, until i couldn’t cry anymore. there was nothing i could do. i was surrounded by hate and violence, but in front of me hung such innocence and precious life, such beauty, such a creation so undeserving of hatred or death. but see, we ARE deserving of death. that is the love. this is the moment of clear understanding. my ankle broken, my face bleeding, my eye swelling, but it was all teaching me this clear distinction. mankind without god is rabid. we need a saviour. mankind is hateful and violent, but christ was blameless. so the complete horror of such precious blamelessness being brought to death as he was IS the key. it WAS a sacrifice. and at that moment, in Gibson’s film, i relived this. the clarity of it allthe complete need, of rabid mankind, for a saviour. so, he cameinnocence and unconditional love hanging on a cross…by choice. love. i’m not sure why we are loved by him. but we are. fearfully made by him, loved unconditionally. so yes, what horror that such love died, and died in such a way as he didTHAT IS WHY IT TOOK LOVE!!! and that love breeds in us loveacceptancecompassionability to forgive-because all those things have been given to us.

  11. Regarding Kirk Talley….well, just being gay is no more sin or wrong than being straight. I recommend that people who do feel that just because some of us are ‘born’ with our orientation being that of a gay man, please read Mel White’s book entitled “STRANGER AT THE GATE: TO BE GAY AND CHRISTIAN IN AMERICA”. There are many wonderful gay Christians, not only in America but around the world. I hope to hear from Kirk so that we can spend some time sharing together our stories.

  12. Does anyone know for SURE that Mark Lowry is gay?

Or is this a vicious rumor?????

  13. Just rumors, m’dear … just rumors.

  14. Democratric Underdground?

As a proud democrat, how can we be underground if we own all of the liberal media? Secondly, most of the democrats I have met are wonderful God fearing Christians, just as most of the republicans that I have met. We have one thing in common our of love of God and country! We have enough division in God’s church, this country, and this world without adding to it!

  15. Didn’t realize what you mean by democratic underground. I apologize! Thought you meant it like, movement, not a website. They have no business interfering with this website to disrupt it. As a democrat I find it offensive, and as a Christian I feel they are not living up to biblical principles to disrupt this site.

  16. I HAVE BEEN READING ALL THOSE STATMENTS PEOPLE MADE ABOUT KIRK TALLY SOME ARE GOOD SOME ARE NOT GOOD KIRK TALLY WAS A GOOD GOSPEL SINGER HE FELL INTO A TRAP LAID DOWN BY THE DEVIL MANY HAVE FALLEN BY THE WAY SIDE BECAUSE OF SIN JIM BAKKER JIMMY SWAGGERT MANY OTHERS WE DON,T KNOW WE NEED TO PRAY FOR KIRK TALLY AND HIS FAMILY WHO ARE WE TO CONDEM MEN AS THEY FALL BY THE WAY SIDE OF LIFE

  17. Yep, Mark IS gay. I once had an encounter with him. I’ve pretty well come to terms with it so I don’t see what the fuss is about.

  18. But what does it matter? Unless he comes out and says it for himself, it’s all hearsay and speculation, isn’t it?

  19. I love these site

  20. Christ was the victum of jews conspiracy. The Romans couldnot have done any thing to Holy Christ as there was no law to persecute him for preaching Christanity. The Romans handed over the Holy Christ to the Jews who condenmed him to death which was then carried out by the Romans.

WE SHOULD REALIZE WHO WAS AT THE HEART OF THIS GORY ACT.
