Secret Service Investigates Teen’s Art Project Depicting Bush As Devil

A schoolboy’s drawings alarms his art teacher, the school officials, the police, and the Secret Service.
bq.. PROSSER, Wash.—One drawing showed President Bush’s head on a stick. Another depicted Bush as a devil launching a missile.
The drawings by a 15-year-old boy in Prosser, Washington, were enough to prompt some questions from the Secret Service.
Agents questioned the teen after being called by police. The boy’s art teacher told school officials about the drawings, and they called police.
The boy was not arrested but the school district has taken disciplinary action.

I wonder what grounds the school used to discipline the boy. I find it sad that a kid could have such a lack of respect for those in authority over him. Then again, with the example of so many adults I guess it is no wonder…
I guess I wonder why this article is on a “Christian” based website. Is it because all Christians should be upset that some kid expressed his disgust with his “president”?
If he really thinks Bush is evil, then he’s probably misguided (but in my opinion, I can totally see why he would). But to think that Bush is the greatest president to ever have read the Bible is also to ignore some very big shortcomings.
As Tony Campolo has said in the past… Evil is a line that runs down the center of all humans.”
Dan: A teen’s drawings is not news, disrespectful to authority, but not newsworthy. A teen’s drawings that spark an investigation from the Secret Service IS news.
The Constitution protects his freedom of speech; the Bible directs our respect/submission to authority—Romans 13:1-5.
He is free to express his beliefs; we are free to disagree with leadership, but not contemptuously.
The story behind the story is this: What’s so striking about this artwork that it stirs the attention of the Secret Service and the national media (i.e., the Associated Press and its affliates)?
It Sickens Me To see Bush claim to be a Christian.He is a wolf in sheep clothing,He creates hate,fear,greed,and lies.You can bomb the world to pieces but you can not bomb it into peace.I feel for all Christians who back Bush.Hitler also Claimed to be a Christian and homeland security.If you dont know your past you will repeat it!!!
