OK Governor Okays Posting of National Motto in Schools
It’s Official–”In God We Trust” is OK in Oklahoma Schools.
bq.. (AgapePress) – An Oklahoma pro-family advocate says she is overjoyed that her state has made it legal to post “In God We Trust” in all public school classrooms.
Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry signed into law this week a measure that allows every classroom, cafeteria, and auditorium to display posters bearing the phrases “E Pluribus Unum” (Out of Many One) and the national motto “In God We Trust.” State law did not prohibit schools from posting the mottos, but now that HB 2477 is law, teachers and principals are reassured they can use the mottos without risking lawsuits.
Patty Morton is president of the group Oklahomans for Patriotic Values, which worked for two years to get the bill passed. The mother and pro-family activist says Satan has been in control of the nation’s schools for too long — and it is time to take them back.
“We are so excited [about the bill's passage] — it’s just such a thrill. And there’s a lot of reasons for that,” Morton says. “The primary one, of course, is that the Lord Jesus Christ will be glorified in our schools.”

“In God We Trust” is such a ubiquitous motto, and not referring to any particular god(s), I don’t know why anyone would need legislation to permit it’s posting. It’s on the American currency, for goodness sake, and nobody’s calling to having it all re-printed or re-minted. It certainly doesn’t mean “The Lord Jesus Christ” is being glorified in the schools, and doesn’t give permission for the teaching of one or another religion. “In God We Trust” includes the Christian god, plus Allah, all the Hindu and Buddhist gods, the Native American gods, all the Wiccan/Pagan gods and goddesses, and whatever other god or gods other folks believe in. Since all gods are man-made, it doesn’t much matter. I consider it a mostly impotent motto, giving liberty to any and all to interpret “god” in any way they choose, which is as it should be.
Christianity is the very base on which this country was founded, once upon a time morals, values and personal standards were very high in this Country of “freedom”, however, since so many non believers have tried to prohibit Christians from praying and being involved in other Christian activities at school, America has been going down hill. Under the excuse of separating Church from State, many State Courts such as Mississippi and Alabama deny Christian students from praying before eating, or in the morning before school or before exams. In one instance in Texas, a Principle took two students Bibles away summoned the mother of one of them and told her “this is garbage” while waving a the Bible in his hand and then threw it away. Indeed there is a war on Christians, however, all other forms of religion are tolerated and encouraged in many parts of the Country. Why? The answer is simple, because it is written that it would happen this way. Why then are people surprised that government is so opposed to such mottos in schools? In God we trust, indeed, we do and should. What God are we speaking of, well you can argue any one you choose, however, this Country was founded on Christian beliefs, in fact an entire race of people were nearly made extinct, wiped out under this claim, under the claim that this Country would be for the Glory of the Christian God, the Father and the Son Jesus Christ. So why make up excuses now? Hypocrites! Brood of Vipers! Religious tolerance is one thing but the freedom of religion does not mean presecute Christians. If in fact “In God we Trust” is taken by Americans to mean any “god” and not the Christian God, then what does that make America and its history, its forefathers, founders and reputation? It makes Americans Liars, Hypocrites, Brood of Vipers, Murderers, Thieves, Fornicators, Rapists…..because this Country would have been founded on a lie and if the Native Americans were wiped out for a lie then this Country is not found fault less or guilt less before God!
In God We Trust, indeed this is true, in God, the one God this Country was founded on our Lord Jesus Christ.
Many argue also that the motto “In God we Trust” does not allow for religious freedom since it is understood that we are refering to the Christian God, since this Country was founded on Christianity, indeed they are correct. But if you would not have children have prayer in schools because it “brain washes” them, they why force them to speak the pledge of allegiance? Do children know what it is to pledge allegiance? No but this is acceptable before men.
We do not trust in man, NO, IN GOD WE TRUST
Well, the debate rages on, trying to pretend any of know the hearts and minds of the founding fathers and if they really intended to make a “Christianity-ruled” country, or a truly free country for all people. But it doesn’t matter what their intent was, really. The fact is that today in 2004, America is clearly NOT a Christian country, nor should it want to be. We are a diverse population with members of many religions and philosophies. What unites us is that most of these religions and philosophies share basic principles of decency, morals, and ethical conduct in a pluralistic society.
None of what makes America great is founded “exclusively” in Christianity or the Christian teachings. “In God We Trust” can mean any interpretation or definition of God — it’s up to the individual.

I am glad to hear the admission of guilt that the intent of this bill was to promote religion in the schools. It vindicates my beliefs that the irresponsible moral and political corruption that is pervasive in the state of Oklahoma is so outwardly arrogant that it can be countered by those with integrity and personal values that include tolerance, respect and consideration of others. Keep talking Ms. Morton.

Wazzup, I finally decided to make an account on here after months of lurking lol so please bear with me…

I also like going to volume rate. Prices aren’t as good as Leetboss (no free shipping, unfortunately), and some of their goods come slightly damaged because of bad packaging, but their selection is nice.
I often use these shopping sites to make some quick cash. I go onto them and pick an item like the r4i sdhc which is really cheap. Then I post them on forums and sell them online as a drop shipper. Last month I made over $1000 in profits, as a college student the money really comes in handy.
