T.D. Jakes promotes upcoming film
“Woman, Thou Art Loosed” from bible study, to conference series, to book, and now to the silver screen.
ATLANTA, Ga. Bishop T.D. Jakes, pastor of the Potters House in Dallas, is promoting the fall release of his first movie Woman, Thou Art Loosed: The Movie by conducting pre-screenings across the country.
The movie, which Oprah is expected to feature during a September show, is about a story of one young womans hard road from sexual abuse victim to redemption.
The first screening came June 29, to a group of area pastors, child advocacy workers, and Christian retailers from the Christian Booksellers Association meeting Atlanta. Jakes is hoping the movie will become a relevant tool for churches and organizations to begin to treat the runaway problem of childhood sexual abuse. One of every three girls and every four boys has suffered sexual abuse by the time they reach age 18.
More than 60 percent of women in prison were abused as children by people they should have been able to trust, said Jakes, a prolific author, musician, and playwright. His Woman, Thou Art Loosed series includes works from early Sunday School classes, to seminars, record-breaking stadium events, the stage play, a Grammy-nominated CD, and now the movie. They are based on the counseling sessions that he and his wife have held with church members.

I have read your book and enjoyed it very much, I hope that in the near future you can address the issues on abortion. There are many women out there that need healing. I am tired of keeping these issues under the rug. Many minority women and children are being destroy by abortion, not only does it affect women but men too and family. I read in the article that you talk about preaching against racism, if possible can you emphasize abortion as well? We are talking about innocent life.
Why can’t we do what God tell us to do? Instead we find excuses, like “how are we going to feed these babies?” There many places that will help. I am sure you already know that.

I have a questionas a beginner knitter, I recently made a scarf, all in stockinette stitch, which of course curled up and was unusable. This pattern uses all stockinette stitch. What prevents it from curling up? Does it curl up until the trim is added? Thanks
