Gideons must follow rules on free Bibles in Miss school

With safeguards in place, a Mississippi school allows the Gideons to distrbute bibles. Sorf of…

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. The school board in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, is allowing a Nashville-based Christian organization to make Bibles available to fifth graders and teachers at an elementary school but only if the students want them.

The school board voted this week to allow Gideons International to distribute the small New Testament Bibles at Taconi Elementary under certain conditions.

They can’t physically distribute the Bibles, but they can place them on a table before or after school. They can’t distribute the Bibles during instruction time.

Board attorney Chuck Bordis says constitutional law prevents teachers, administrators and representatives of the Gideons from distributing the Bibles during school.

Before I say anything, I must give thanks to God for making me such a person. I am Pastor Gerard Osei Boateng of Calvary Temple Church in Ghana.
I grew up radically in a muslim home with my parents Abiba Mamud and Salifu Ahmed. I was given the name Ibrahim Ahmed.
There is no need denying that I hated Christians and did all sort of evil against them. It went to the extend that, our muslim elders oganised some men and I to kill one Pastor Evans Nsiah, who used to preach against Islam.
This plan failed and it ended me up in jailed.
It was in jail that I heared the word of God and that was when Christ touched my heart.
I decided therefore to follow Christ for him alone can help me.
When I came out of jail, I went for a Pastoral couse at End Time Ministry School where I successfully came out as a Pastor. It was there I came by the name Gerard Osei Boateng.
My parent refuse their responsibilities since I decided to follow Christ, I man by name Pastor Samuel Boateng took care of me. Unfortunately, the man died a year after.
I was then given the oppurtunity to take over the Church.Praise be unto Jehovah for the Church is now one of the famous and popular Churches in Ghana.
We are having over 3000 members and Church is going on well.
The Church have decided to go for a preaching tour around some places like Muslim communities, Prisions, Hospitals, Villages and Other places.
I would be very grateful if you could be of help by sending us some (HOLY BIBLES ) to distribute to these people that will accept Christ and other people. As the Bible says”Cast your bread upon the waters and you shall receive in abundant”.

my beloved in Christ, I Prabhudas from India greetings to you in the name our Lord Christ. I am very knee on evangelism. I reaches hundreds through Gospel meetings, crusades fasting & praying and house visiting. I have special burden for perishing youth and love for the little children. Though I am financially helpless I still helps the destitutes and widows and orphans by providing some medicines and garments and food. Very recently I opened a door for a new and heart touching ministry of visiting AIDS & HIV patients.

Large number of people are here suffering due to lake of proper food and clothing and medication are left to fate. Truly when I see these people, my heart is rendering. They have no food for days together, they have no strength to knock the door-to-door begging food. Some are in desparate mood to attend even for nature of calls. I have no words to say about these people unless we look at them. People like you to come forward to their rescue. God laid great and heavy burden on meto work among these desparate people. I therefore taken up this greatest burden; meeting them, preaching and loading them in gospel. But I seek your help and support in this matter as I have no capacity to meet their
need. In this connection I swear to the fact that every rupee shell be best utilized and spent for these poor children and orphan and old aged people and HIV patients. God provided you all comforts for which I pray God immensely. I therefore request you to kindly pray for these neglected and uncared poor children and widows, old aged people and HIV/AIDS patients believing them as your parents and children. I shell send you report regularly where the service is conducted supported with pictures for prayer. Your love and offerings to this service is much more needed. With all the burden I have I am not asking for anything but only desires that you should visit me and the ministry and see it yourself. I can arrange some special public meetings and Pastors conferences so that you can personally talk to them to know the true condition of Indian Pastors.

A lot is to be done for God and the extension of His Kingdom. India is a free country and God’s grace is abundant on this country. The field is readly to be harvested and Prabudas Means “Servant of the Lord”! I was born in a staunch Hindu family where worshipping many idols was a serious matter and was done with all the faith I had in them. God’s saving eyes were seeking to save all those who are willing to change. I was saved from the life of idolatry 20 years ago and committed to serve the Lord and thus fulfilling the meaning of my name! now with my wife and eldest son I fully involve in various ministries in Guntur District. I live in Tenali in Andhra Pradesh.

There are currently about two dozen congregations and nearly 120 co-workers who are zealously serving the Lord in dozens of villages, only a few congregations have church buildings – mostly thatched huts. I also educate ten young people a year to take up the ministry in new villages. The harvest is truly plenteous and labourers also plenty but only thing any Indian worker lacks is money. So please pray for the situation here going on. So many people are willing to work for Christ if the minimum needs are met a number of labourers are available with no help to go further. It is a very serious situation but needs only a little understanding. If one does not see it personally it is difficult to understand. Who can come here without burden for the lost souls. You don’t have to be a missionary but first came and see then you will surely become one!

We are working among HIV/AIDS victims, old aged people and preaching the Gospal in rural villages. We regularly issue medicines and rice to HIV/AIDS victims every month. But in this month, due to lack of funds we could not able to give them anything even after the month is coming to a close. The chief Donar who used to give huge amounts died recently. He used to donate Rs.10,000/- (200 U.S.Dollors) each month. Due to his demise there is no help received this month and stuggling hard. The phone is disconnected due to non-payment of Bill. During this month I sold a piece of site owned by me and purchased dedicines with the sale proceeds and we were all praying for next month. There are some poor childrens born to HIV/AIDS victims and we got them admitted into Government Hostels and we need to met their monthly exp enses and request you to kindly pray for the same. I therefore request you my dear Brother to kindly pray for sending a regular monthly help and support of atleast 50 or 25 U.S.Dollars to adjust with some of our needs. I Prabhudas from India greetings to you in the name our Lord Christ. I need your kind attention towards this mail. I am very knee on evangelism. I reach hundreds through Gospel meetings, crusades fasting & praying and house visiting. I have special burden for perishing youth and love for the little children. Though I am financially helpless I still helps the destitute and widows and orphans by providing some medicines and garments and food. Two years back I opened a door for a new and heart touching ministry of visiting AIDS & HIV patients. Large numbers of people are here suffering due to lake of proper food and clothing and medication are left to fate. Truly when I see these people, my heart is rendering. They have no food for days together; they have no strength to knock the door-to-door begging food. Some are in desperate mood to attend even for nature of calls. I have no words to say about these people unless we look at them. People like you to come forward to their rescue. God laid great and heavy burden on meto work among these desperate people. I therefore have taken up this greatest burden; meeting them, preaching and loading them in gospel. But I seek your help and support in this matter, as I have no capacity to meet their need. In this connection I swear to the fact that every rupee shell be best utilized and spent for these poor children and orphan and old aged people and HIV patients. God provided you all comforts for which I pray God immensely. I therefore request you to kindly pray for these neglected and uncared poor children and widows, old aged people and HIV/AIDS patients believing them as your parents and children. I shell send you report regularly where the service is conducted supported with pictures for prayer. Your love and offerings to this service is much more needed. With the entire burden I have I am not asking for anything but only desires that you should visit the ministry and me and see it yourself. I can arrange some special public meetings and Pastors conferences so that you can personally talk to them to know the true condition of Indian Pastors. A lot is to be done for God and the extension of His Kingdom. India is a free country and God’s grace is abundant on this country. The field is ready to be harvested and Prabhudas Means “Servant of the Lord”! I was born in a staunch Hindu family where worshipping many idols was a serious matter and was done with all the faith I had in them. God’s saving eyes were seeking to save all those who are willing to change. I was saved from the life of idolatry 20 years ago and committed to serve the Lord and thus fulfilling the meaning of my name! Now with my wife and eldest son I fully involve in various ministries in Guntur District. I live in Tenali in Andhra Pradesh. There are currently about some congregations. We are the fellowship of 120 pastors for Tenali division. Mostly our churches are thatched huts. I also educate ten young people a year to take up the ministry in new villages. The harvest is truly plenteous and laborers also plenty but only thing any Indian worker lacks is money. So please pray for the situation here going on. So many people are willing to work for Christ if the minimum needs are met a number of laborers are available with no help to go further. It is a very serious situation but needs only a little understanding. If one does not see it personally it is difficult to understand. Who can come here without burden for the lost souls? You don’t have to be a missionary but first came and see then you will surely become one! God bless you and your household. I am waiting for your advice yours in Christ,
